THE FIND

Verica Peacock was born in Croatia (ex-Yugoslavia). She came to this country aged 16 in 1946.  Her autobiography, The Find - the story of a war child - was recently published. She has had articles  and poetry published in magazines and newspapers and won first and second prizes for poetry in competitions and in Writers' Forum.

FIRST IN LAST OUT

Jack Culshaw, born in Liverpool, served in the Navy for four years—took part in the Normandy landings as an eighteen year old. He founded the INN SCRIBERS and is the current Chairman. He has published a novel, ‘First In Last Out’ about little known facts surrounding the British Navy’s part in the 1944 Normandy Landings on the American beachheads.

 Sadly,  Jack died on Saturday,

 30 September 2006.
